We thank the Lord for all of our blessings. To help those who are in need, the Parish Nurses provide meals at the Frederick Place once a month or as needed. Usually four or five people each bring part of a meal. Often others in the parish have expressed a desire to help. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please call Dorothy at 715-369-3784 or Jane at 715-367-2145.

Where 3 Streams Meet ~ Merging of Religious Faith
Join in the journey of the ancient sacred traditions of the pre-Celtic, Celtic and Christians in Ireland. Our purpose is to examine the traditional path to God which the Gaelic speaking people of Ireland evolved over the centuries.
Our parish adventure to Ireland will be led by Deacon Mike Harvey and we will depart for this adventure in September of 2012 for a twelve day luxury motor coach tour with a driver/guide. Hotel accommodations will be based on twin bed room with private bath, full breakfasts, dinner and entertainment. We will also have time to encounter the famous pubs. During our trip we will look at the cultural remains of the original people of the island, walk over the land of the Celtic influence and trace the path of St. Patrick. We will pause to attend a Gaelic Mass in Dingle, have time for retail therapy and taste the finer elements of Irish life.
Included in the trip: Beginning in Dublin, traveling to Glendalough, Cork, Dingle, Galway, Derry, Belfast, to name a few of the places we will visit. Touring 5,200 year old tombs, 1,000 year old abbey’s and cathedrals, investigating the famine of 1848, time to shop, looking at the natural beauty, or just strolling around areas of interest. Cost of the trip, including airfare has not been finalized. If you have any questions please contact Deacon Mike Harvey at 715-369-2932 or

Sharing Your Musical Talents |
|
|
|
|
“Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.”
“Well done, my good and faithful servant…
Come, share your master’s joy.” (Matthew 25:20-21)
Thinking about sharing your musical talents at Mass?
If you have been thinking about joining a choral group or sharing your instrumental talent at church during Mass, now’s the time! Our Parish is blessed with many opportunities to answer your call to serve and worship through music. Consider joining our Nativity Parish Choir. This is an adult and young adult choir (including youth, middle school and up) and is mostly a “directed” choir singing in parts and leading most special occasion Masses. Please, come join us! Guitar players or other independent instrumentalists are also welcome in this group! All are welcome any time of the year! Call Holly Spiegelhoff at the Parish Office for more information.
Pick up a green “Music Ministry” brochure in the foyer of the church to see all available groups in the area of music.
Are you gifted in the area of piano or guitar accompaniment?
If you have been thinking about sharing your accompanying skills, or wondering about what is involved in becoming an accompanist, now’s the time to inquire! Call Holly Spiegelhoff at the Parish Office to get information about sharing your talent!
THANK YOU TO OUR PARISH ASSEMBLY
As we gather weekly in true Christian spirit our Music Ministry leaders are witness to the great participation by our Church! Thank you for your “full, conscious and active participation” through your sung acclamations, responses, psalms and hymns. When song leaders and choirs see and hear your participation, it truly enlightens us to the meaning of our ministry—to engage our assembly—to be ONE in CHURCH! We ask you to continue to sing and participate as much as you are able and we thank you for all you do to enrich our liturgical experience as we walk together on our faith journey, drawing us all closer to the Mystery of Christ!

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Throughout our lives, we are faced with making countless decisions. Many of these decisions we make quickly, without giving them a second thought. But some decisions can be harder to make. Sometimes a decision can leave us feeling confused or unsure of what we should do. For instance, “Why do we get up and go to Mass?” Some of us, going to Mass on Sunday has an obligation…something we try to squeeze into an already busy schedule or weekend, something we just don’t get to because life gets too hectic.
You may know of someone who would like to join you in our faith community but needs to learn and discover the richness of the Roman Catholic Church. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the perfect vehicle to introduce an individual and let them explore the richness of the Catholic church. The RCIA is for anyone who wishes to be baptized or to receive the other two sacraments of initiation: Eucharist and confirmation. Individuals are given the option of selecting one or two meeting sessions each week. Sunday at 9:00 am and Wednesday at 6:00 pm, both sessions are held in the Schiek Library.
All are welcome to come and share their faith with others on the same journey. Making decisions that help you develop a better relationship with your maker will always be the right decision. For more information, feel free to call Deacon Mike at 715-369-2932.
