It is difficult to believe that we have celebrated “Valentine’s Day” and that the season of Lent begins in a few days.  There never seems to be enough time to unwind and enjoy the beauty of all that God has created.  Perhaps, in the days of Lent, we can find those moments to really see and learn what God wants of us.  As we travel the road where Jesus walked, may we see the gifts of kindness He bestowed on others, doing the same in our lives and finding forgiveness through the love of our Father, in heaven.

Preschool and 4K registration info for the upcoming school year will be sent home, next week.  Information will also be available from the teachers and in our school offices.  If you or someone you know has children who will be eligible to join our programs, please contact us at 362-2299, and we will be happy to help you share the great things that are happening in our Early Childhood classes. Kindergarten screening will take place on March 9.  Call 362-3366 to register your child for screening.  Registration for students Kindergarten through 8th grade will begin March 12.  We look forward to another year of providing quality, Catholic education in Rhinelander.

I would like to remind you that the Scrip “fiscal year” will be ending on March 27, with the last buying day on March 25.  The last work day will be March 26, with the end of year close out on March 27. The new fiscal year will begin on March 28.  There are many opportunities for you to make your Scrip purchases: anytime during the week at the Parish Office, after Wednesday Children’s Masses, Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:15 at the NB, and after each of the weekend Masses.

While Scrip profits are part of our tuition requirements, the important thing to note is that Scrip profits generate “FREE MONEY” for our school and parish.  The more Scrip you purchase, the more money we earn, and the better our school is, financially.  Some people have been able to earn the entire cost of their tuition through Scrip purchases.  Please help your families as you help our school.

A tremendous “THANK YOU” to all those who work so diligently each week to sell Scrip, process and place orders, reconcile and track, collate and complete!!!  We could not do this without you and your efforts.  God bless you for your kindness and support of our school.

Thank you to the family of Linda and Andrew Smith for their generous donation to our school libraries.  Thank you, also, to Kathy and Don Pecor for their assistance at our recent “Bring a Guest to Lunch Day” and their donation to our teachers.  We are so fortunate to have many kind and caring supporters of our school.

Have a great week and God bless.
